Angela Wilkins and Richard Williams took seats in Crystal Palace. And Vanessa Allen and Ian Dunn took seats in Clock House. Kathy Bance, Kevin Brooks and Peter Fookes kept their seats in Penge and Cator with increased majorities.
The Labour Party is now the main opposition party in the borough.
This reflected Labour gains across London. Labour took 37% of the vote. And the 203 new Labour Councillors meant 5 new Labour controlled Councils — Croydon, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Merton and Redbridge Councils.
