As a result of widespread objections, Bromley Tories have been forced on to the defensive over their decisions to close youth centres and children and family centres. Following rising crime and anti-social behaviour in areas affected by such closures, the Council Leader admitted “mistakes had been made.” Orpington Labour Party was one of several organisations formally submitting objections.
