Orpington Labour Party sends condolences to Norwegian colleagues

Following the dreadful attacks earlier this month, we he have sent messages of condolences and support to the Norwegian Ambassador and to the Norwegian Labour Party.

The meeting of the Orpington Labour Party held on 27 July decided to send messages of condolence to its colleague organisation in Norway following the dreadful attack upon its youth members attending a summer camp on the island of Utoeya. A similar message was sent to the Norwegian Ambassador to the UK following the bomb attack on government buildings in Oslo.

Nigel de Gruchy, Secretary of the Orpington Labour Party, said:

Members expressed their ‘profound sadness at the deaths of colleagues in the Norwegian Labour Party and the horror at their murders together with that of other Norwegian citizens’ and they wished to convey their ‘heartfelt condolences to all the victims’ families and friends’.
